Meet Eric Helmy
Bio
Eric is not only an experienced business attorney in Seattle, but he is also the founder and managing partner of Northwest Business Law LLC, commonly known as NWBizLaw. One of Eric’s core beliefs is that we must make the most of life. Driven by this belief, he brings an intensity, focus, and purpose to everything he does, which can be extremely valuable when you need to settle a business dispute. His goal is to successfully integrate all aspects of life: work, family, training, and concern for the welfare of others.
To be the best business lawyer he can be, Eric consistently searches for better ways to serve his clients. That means listening attentively to what each client needs, helping them focus their business objectives when necessary, and designing legal strategies to meet those business objectives. It also means keeping up with the latest in legal education and entrepreneurial strategies. Guiding his clients toward successful outcomes was a driving force behind Eric’s desire to found NWBizLaw.
Eric has been passionate about conservation his entire life. An ecology major at Cornell University, Eric now focuses his pro-bono efforts on protecting wildlife and wild places. He founded NWBizLaw to be an example of how to run a sustainable practice and hopes to inspire this in his clients.
Away from the office, Eric is a serial entrepreneur with interests in software applications and diverse creative opportunities, and he uses that perspective to help guide his clients. His training and competition as an Ironman® triathlete teach him powerful lessons in focus, discipline, tenacity, and breaking down complex situations into workable tasks.
All of these pursuits help Eric achieve a balanced and fulfilled life and success as a corporate attorney. From this position, his goal is to help design successful outcomes for all clients at NWBizLaw.
